Thus shall ye think Of all this fleeting World; a star at Dawn, a bubble In the stream, a flash of lightening In a summer cloud, a flickering lamp hopes to give thanks by becoming an offering in and of itself. An exhibition that is not only dedicated to the benefit of us all as individuals, but also to our Mother Earth / Papatuanuku & all sentient beings that inhabit her. With colour & concept strongly referencing sacred symbolism this suite of works further extends the artists primary concern of; exploring the role of the sacred in contemporary society. This dialogue examines ceremony, ritual & the sacred feminine via a social practice model.
Lisa Choegyal, New Zealand Honorary Consul to Nepal opened the Exhibition on 4th August 2014 at the Siddhartha Art-Gallery.
A Discussion on Epheremeral Practices by Tiffany Singh was held on Friday, 8th august at 3:00 pm.
