11th July 2008 - A hundred guests attended this famed music venue to be tantalised by a delicious three course dinner by renowned Nepalese chef Ram Dongal of Indigo Restaurant.  Sur-Sudha, Nepal’s top classical band of sitar, tabla and flute then delighted the audience with a phenomenal performance of folk songs and ragas.  They were then joined in a cross cultural musical dialogue by the fabulous Paul Gladstone Reid MBE on piano and Adelaide Robarts on cello.  The music was uplifting and mesmerising, creating a harmonious crescendo of eastern and western music combined.  Timothy Lyes* then amused, entertained and coaxed the audience into bidding for the marvellous auction prizes generously donated for this charitable fundraiser.  The kindly donated prizes for the raffle were then drawn by the charity’s Patron, David Verey CBE, before Charan Sohanpaul aka Dj Harmonii got the party bopping to classic disco tunes.   Antonia Bowen-Jones
